Guts & Steel

Nothing in my guitar playing career was ever as rewarding as playing music with Buster B. Jones. We just had a special chemistry when we picked up our guitars. We both were amazed with this.

Buster B. once said, when asked about how long it took us to make up one of our arrangements, "The time we spend rehearsing wouldn't make a good coffee break."  He was right.  I would hear him play something and I would put in a groove or counter melody that just seemed to fit. He did the same thing. I guess we thought alike.

Chet Atkins said, "There is nothing like hearing them play together..  It cannot be duplicated."  When "the Chief" said that we decided to see if we could record it. So we both got together in Nashville for a week and put it down.  We were both so excited to see the overwhelming acceptance of it.

We always said we were going to do another album together, but that never happened.  So This Is It.

RIP - Buster B. Jones

Special Thanks To:
Michael Stanton
for the strings on Tennessee Waltz.
